Research History

My research interest is basically quantum optics to observe quantum mechanical phenomena directly, and quantum information theory to exploit the quantum coherence for communication and computation protocols beyond the present information technology. I have been investigating the role of quantum entanglement in the field of quantum communication and proposing methods for generation and detection of the entanglement. This includes the verification of the effective entanglement in the physical process such as quantum teleportation and quantum memory, and optimization of the physical process to determine a quantum-noise-limited amplification process.

Research Plan at GCOE

I am planning to develop some simple ideas for detection of the quantum coherence and quantum correlation as well as for quantification of them. I hope this would offer some unified aspects for a class of the existing approaches.
